In a nutshell: the new engines lasted 20 hours - yup the second pair! One of the piston connecting rods snapped the pin and dropped into the block and this caused the block to crack. End of engine and end of the boating season (again).
Not one to be kept down, Doug ordered a pair of Crusader 8.1's and Dr Doug did the install.
This is the sea-trial on a cold winter day - exhilarating!
